David was such a kind gentle man, he was so welcoming to me and I liked always liked talking to him about the dogs. He was so generous; one time we wanted some hanging baskets for outside of the Blue Cross shop in Marlborough to join in with Marlborough in Bloom and he insisted on paying for them so the charity didn't have to. My favourite memories will be driving Anne home from the shop on a Friday and David coming out to meet us to carry all of Anne's bags of stuff in the house she'd bought from the shop that week! He never looked surprised or disapproving; though we always joked he was probably thinking 'what on earth has Anne bought this week!' What a lovely person he was, I will miss seeing him sat in his chair next to Anne's when I visit and him talking to 'Mr. Fergus'. Goodbye to you David - thank you for being so nice to me - you'll be very much missed xxx
